Maine Providers Standing up for Health Care (MPSUH) is a group of hundreds of Maine healthcare providers including doctors, nurses, behavioral health specialists, advanced practice professionals, dentists, physical therapists, midwives, and concerned citizens advocating for improved health care for the people of Maine. We are proud to collaborate with others who share our vision and values.

OUR MISSION IS TO INFORM AND INFLUENCE HEALTHCARE POLICY FOR THE PEOPLE OF MAINE BASED ON OUR VAST EXPERIENCE AS HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS.
Our Priorities for 2022
Reproductive Rights
Support the autonomy of individuals to choose reproductive health choices for themselves, including abortion and LGBTQ+ appropriate care.
Paid Family Leave
Support paid family and medical leave to strengthen families when they grow, experience illness, or have unplanned emergencies
Substance Use Disorder
Advocate for programs to effectively reduce the ravages of alcohol and substance use disorder
These threee topics are by no means our only goals. as a diverse group of providers, we are passionate about and involved in promoting improved healthcare for all, including, but not limited to:
Support the expansion of MaineCare to all in need of access to care
Respect and support the gender identities of individuals
Work to eliminate disparities in health care access and health outcomes for our communities of indigenous Mainers, immigrants, and people of color
